The GAA will be allowed to return to training in Northern Ireland from April 12th once approved by the Northern Ireland executive.
The Associations Covid-19 advisory group met last night to green light the proposal, which marks a probable divergence from the 32 county vision which has been in place since spring 2020.
The advisory group has taken a wait and see approach to developments from the Republic of Ireland government, however some sources suggest that club G-A-A activity in the 26 counties may not return until May.
In an update to clubs, the GAA have reminded their patrons that all properties, playing fields and gyms should remain closed until April 5th when the current restrictions will be reviewed.
Walking tracks which are been made available to communities can remain open with social distancing in place.
The Association acknowledged the frustrations the restrictions have placed on clubs, players, managements and members, but noted the safety of everyone in the game and community is the primary focus.
