Leitrim bowed out of the Connacht minor championship after a four point defeat to Galway in Tuam.
Galway won out 4-8 to 1-13 to book their place in the Connacht final against the winners of Roscommon or Mayo.
Galway led 2-5 to five points at half-time. After the restart Paul Honeyman added a goal and five points. Jack Kelly’s two points and one from Senan Bohan rounded out Leitrim’s scoring.
Leitrim will face Sligo in the Connacht shield final. The minor shield final will take place on Friday May 19th at 7pm. Venue TBD.
