The decision has been made on the back of damage caused by Storm Eowyn

The Galway international rally scheduled for this coming weekend (Saturday/Sunday 1st &2nd) has been postponed due to the recent storm. In a statement from the club, they noted that significant damage had occurred to the proposed route for the rally and while roads would be cleared quite a number of residents would be with out services and any road closures for the event could cause difficult in the restoration of those services. Damage also to the mobile communication networks in the area would also compromise the safe running of the event. The rally was to be the opening round of the Irish Tarmac Championship.
