Longford Town fell to their third defeat of the season as Galway United grabbed a 1-0 win in Eamonn Deacy Park.
Darren Clarke’s 76th minute shot ricocheted off Viktor Serdeniuk to give all three points to Galway for their sixth win of the season.
Town goalkeeper Jack Brady saved a fourth minute penalty. While Town battled hard throughout, it was the hosts who the better of the play.
