Roscommon’s Cathal Heneghan scored three-points off the bench to help NUI Galway win a first Sigerson Cup title in 19-years.
Substitute Heneghan came into play in the second-half to score three points from play as NUI Galway beat UL on a 12-points to 1-6 in Carlow on Wednesday night.
The sides were level at three point’s a-piece at half-time. Heneghan’s points helped NUIG to a 12 points to 1-6 win.

The victory was NUIG's 23rd title overall and a first since 2001.
