Cliodhna Moloney, Dorothy Wall and Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe all scored tries as Ireland secured a third place in the Women's Six Nations beating Italy 25-5.
Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe’s try double along with tries from Moloney and Wall Stacey Flood also kicked five-points for the hosts at Donnybrook's Energia Park.
Ireland got things rolling very early on Stacey Flood pounced on an opportunity to take a quick tap from a penalty on the five-metre line.
Flood then fed Dorothy Wall on the wing, who crashed through an Italian jersey to touchdown at the corner.
Flood was unlucky from the conversion as Ireland led five-0. However Flood got her first score of the game on 27 minutes with a penalty after Italy were penalised for holding on.
Ireland led 8-0 at half-time.
Ireland didn’t take long to get going again after the break, from a lineout, the ball came to Wall who linked up with Murphy Crowe
The winger accelerated around the Italian defence and sprint over for Ireland’s second try. Flood added three points to put Ireland 15-0 ahead.
Ireland’s third try also came from a quick-tap move, Cliodhna Moloney acted quickly to drive at the Italian line and cross over.
Melissa Bettoni charged over the Irish line for a consolation Italian try later before Murphy Crowe sprinted home for her second and Ireland’s fourth try as they sealed third place.
