Ireland continue their UEFA Women's Nations League campaign when they face Hungary in Budapest on Tuesday evening.
Denise O’Sullivan and Louise Quinn have been passed fit for tomorrow’s game. Both experienced players took knocks towards the end of Saturday’s 3-nil win over Northern Ireland.
“We had an excellent start to our UEFA Nations League campaign with the win over Northern Ireland in front of a record crowd” said interim head coach Eileen Gleeson.
“It was a historic day” explained Gleeson. “But now our full focus is on the next game against Hungary to ensure that we do all that we can to take the three points on offer”.
“Hungary will be a difficult opponent and playing at home gives them an extra edge” explained Gleeson.
The sides last met in a scoreless draw back in 2017 in a Cyprus Cup meeting. Whereas, Ireland are a very different team from that side.
“We won't take anything for granted as we aim for another three points.”
Ireland currently top group B1. Whereas Hungary sit second after their draw with Albania in round one.
