Gavin spoke to Damien Donohoe about the new rules

Jim Gavin admits players will have more time on the ball under new rules proposed for Gaelic football.

Gavin was in Mullahoran on Saturday to watch Cavan face Kildare in a challenge game under the new rules. Some 40 shots were counted in the second-half.

In a wide ranging new rules interview with Damien Donohoe; the five-in-a-row All-Ireland winning manager explains the impact the changes will have on the game. Four inter-provincial games in Croke Park on October 18 and 19 will give the new rules a wide demonstration.

Whereas, the rules are set to come into play from January first 2025. However, a number of approvals are required as Gavin explained to Damien Donohoe.
