The M-Sport WRC driver was in a nail biting battle over the 9 stages with Matt Edwards

Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy were the winners of the Jeremey O'Connor Midlands Stages Rally. The Ford Fiesta pairing finished half a second ahead of Matt Edwards and Sion Williams in their Hyundai Rally I20 with Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty completing the top 3 in their Citroen C3. McErlean and Treacy who took time out of their World Rally commitments to compete in the rally were delighted with their victory with Josh remarking to On the Pace notes at the end of the last stage that they had thrown everything at it

Johno Doogan and Paul Lennon were the winners of the highly competitive Class 14 in their Mark 2 Escort as they took 20th overall. The Sligo Pallets Border championship Drive of the day went to Declan and Shane Hagan in their Class 10 Ford Escort. Eoin Murry and Tommy Hayes were the winners of the opening round of the Dacia Sandero one make championship as they finished ahead of Anthony O'Halloran and Declan O'Regan
