Longford Town fell to Kerry for a second time this season as the Kingdom side landed a 2-1 victory.
The win is Kerry’s third of the season and their second over Longford Town. Thus, leaving the Town five points adrift at the bottom of the first division.
Kerry hit the front on 27 minutes. Cian Brosnan’s low cross from the by-line was turned into the net by Ryan Kelliher.
However, Longford weren’t in the mood for lying down. Karl Chambers headed Conor Crowley’s near post corner to the net, sending the sides in level at the break.
Town gave as good they got through, but it was the hosts who had the better of the contest.
However, the hosts sealed the three points seven minutes from time. Kelliher grabbing his second of the night, finishing off Sean McGrath’s left wing cross.
