Killoe continued their defence of the Longford championship edging out Dromard into the semi-finals

Luke Dempsey’s side recording a three-point win in Glennon Brothers Park in a high drama and high scoring game.

Kiloe winning out 2-10 to 1-10 with three goals arriving in the opening 18 minutes.

Mark Hughes converting a third minute penalty to get the helter skelter game. Joseph Hagan firing into the Killoe net on seven minutes.

Killoe were in for their second goal of the game on 18 minutes, Mark Hughes raising his second green flag of the day, making it 2-1 to 1-5.

Indeed, points from Mark Hughes (f), Daniel Mimnagh, Shane Clarke, helped Killoe in to a 2-5 to 1-7 half-time lead.

However it was Killoe who found points easier to come by in the second-half as they went onto win out 2-10 to 1-10. Killoe will face the winners of Mullinalaghta and Granard in the semi-final.
