Killoe Emmet og confirmed their place in the Longford quarter-finals after final round of group two action.
Killoe 1-13 Clonguish 2-6
This was a must win for Killoe and they duly responded, leading four points to no score after nine minutes.
Clonguish’s Chris Gordon found the net a minute later but Daniel Mimnagh’s goal on 11 minutes set the scene for a Killoe victory.
Killoe led by five at half-time 1-9 to 1-4. Josh Sorohan scored Clonguish’s second goal on 45 minutes, reducing the led to three points.
Killoe added two further points and that was enough to seal a four point victory and passage to the quarter-finals.
Carrickedmond 0-8 Rathcline 1-11
Carrickedmond needed a victory to try and snatch a quarter-final, however that was never on the cards.
Rathcline collected their third win of the campaign having led 1-8 to five points at half-time.
Rathcline were always in control, scoring three points in the second-half, cancelled out Carrickedmond.
Carrickedmond finish bottom of group two with two points a worse score difference than Clonguish.
Abbeylara 0-9 Colmcille 0-11
Colmcille wrapped out their group stage with a 100% record with a two point win over Abbeylara.
It was a second-half comeback that rounded out the campaign as they trailed seven point to four at half-time.
However Colmcille sent over seven second-half points to Abbeylara’s two and claimed their fifth win of the campaign and win the group with 10 points.
