Kerry snatched victory over Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park thanks to two late goals from David Clifford and Joe O’Connor.
The victory by Kerry winning out 2-15 to 1-12 saw them top division one south and will now face Tyrone in the division one semi-final.
While Roscommon will face Armagh in the relegation play-off on June 12th or 13th.
Roscommon started brightly and led four points to three at the water break thanks to scores from Donnie Smith (f), Conor Cox, Richard Hughes and Ciaran Murtagh.
Cox, Smith and Murtagh all scored from play in the second quarter but it was Kerry who led 10 points to seven at the break.
Three points from Murtagh on the resumation and a Enda Smith mark saw the sides level at 11 points a piece on 45 minutes.
David Clifford and Murtagh exchanged scores via a free and mark but it was Kerry who started to push on from the 48th minute.
Kerry were reduced to 14 when Tahdg Morley saw red on 53 minutes but Kerry were able to manage the game better.
O’Connor fisted Kerry ahead with a point before David Clifford found the net on 57 minutes. O’Connor and Clifford tagged on points to move Kerry into a six point lead.
Conor Devaney brought Roscommon back into the game with a 70th minute goal but Joe O’Connor found the net as Kerry sealed their six point win.
