The Leitrim hurlers are top of the Lory Meagher cup table following a 4-16 to 1-10 victory over Cavan at Kingpan Breffni.
Leitrim led 2-5 to 1-6 at the half-time break; Brendan Delaney and Sean Markham with Leitrim’s goals while Sean Keating found the net for Cavan.
The visitors moved 11 points clear with as many minutes remaining when Diarmuid Kelleher found the net before Brendan Delaney added his second goal four minutes later as Leitrim ran out convincing winners.

Leitrim will be hoping to maintain their perfect record next week when they welcome second-placed Monaghan to Carrick-on-Shannon.
