The Lory Meagher cup gets underway this weekend with Leitrim hosting Longford in round one.
A competition both sides have lifted Longford in 2010 and 14 and Leitrim in 2019.
The third meeting of the sides in the 2022, Longford have recorded victories in both meetings in Allianz league division three.

While in form in this fixture, Longford were blown out of the water by the Fermanagh in last week’s league final. The recovery from that game will play a large part in this game.
Leitrim on the other hand will be smarting from the two leagued defeats and may just have enough to claim the more important championship victory.
