It’s do or die for Leitrim as they face Wexford in Parnell Park.
Defeats to Antrim and Fermanagh mean only a win will do for Leitrim to have any chance of progressing and that might not be enough.
The worst third placed team does not advance to the pre-lim-quarter-finals meaning. As Leitrim’s maximum total points is two, this means score-difference could come into play.
Leitrim’s score-difference currently reads -18. With current worst placed third team, Waterford on -20. Waterford need a win to have a chance to progress. Highlighting how Leitrim might need to win by a clear margin.
Andy Moran’s side seriously missed Keith Beirne against Fermanagh. The Leitrim boss must be hoping that Beirne’s knee injury has cleared up in time for Sunday.
Moran has made two chances from the side who lost to Fermanagh. Nevin O’Donnell comes in, in goal. Conor Farrell replaces Paddy Maguire in the full-back line.
Things are bit more clean-cut for Wexford after their draw with Fermanagh. A win would see them into the next round. A draw could be good enough on score difference.
