The Leitrim ladies missed out on a place in the TG4 All-Ireland intermediate quarter-finals after losing 3-10 to 2-10 to Wexford at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
The hosts were six points clear eight minutes from time and held off a late Leitrim rally to emerge victorious.
The sides traded two points each inside the opening ten minutes before Ailbhe Clancy's goal on 13 minutes gave Leitrim a three-point lead.
Six minutes later, Wexford’s Chloe Fox found the net and suddenly the sides were level. The sides subsequently traded three points each making it 1-6 apiece at half-time.
Wexford restored their three-point cushion ten minutes into the second half. Ciara Banville firing to the net.
Fox registered her second goal on 50 minutes. Aisling Murphy added a point as Wexford opened up a six-point lead two minutes later.
Leitrim's Leah Fox replied registered a goal three minutes from time but the visitors still fell short in the end.
Wexford will now meet Kildare in the semi-finals. Kildare got the better of Tyrone in their quarter-final. Meanwhile Antrim will face Clare, Antrim having hammered Monaghan.
