Paul Honeyman starred as Leitrim opened their Connacht minor championship campaign with a draw.
Honeyman scored 1-2 as Leitrim drew 1-8 to 11 points with Sligo in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Leitrim had the better of the opening half, but could only lead by one point at the break.
The hosts had opened up a four point lead with 10 minutes on the clock. Scores from Ruairi O'Roruke, Dara Greenan, Brian Keaney and Paul Honeyman putting Leitrim four ahead.
Sligo's firsts score of the game came on 16 minutes through a Cian Carthy. The impressive Honeyman added a mark and and a free to bring Leitrim to six points.
The visitors found their stride from there on. Aaron Lang, Jim Molloy, Conor Walsh and Carthy leaving it six points to five at half-time.
Lang and Aaron O'Mahony edged Sligo ahead four minutes into the second-half. Leitrim's star man Paul Honeyman found the Sligo after a super run through the defence.
The visitors responded well, O'Mahony and a Carty free pushing Sligo a point up on 42 minutes.
Michael Carroll made it 12 points to 1-6 four minutes. Leitrim responded with very good scores from David Liu Doyle and James Gilheaney to make it a one point game.
Honeyman had two chances to win it with late frees but couldn't convert either as the game finished Leitrim 1-8 Sligo 0-11.
