Leitrim produced a big second-half display to record their third Allianz league division four victory of 2022.
Andy Moran’s side found the net twice in the first-half, but still trailed at the break before going onto win 2-14 to 1-10.
Keith Beirne found the net after nine minutes but Carlow responded with a goal from a Jamie Clarke penalty kick.
Ryan O’Rourke produced a master class run through the Carlow defence to find a goal just before half-time. It was Carlow who led at the break 1-9 to 2-5.
It took eight second-half minutes but Leitrim were excellent after the break. Beirne levelled the game with a slide-line point.
Beirne (5), O’Rourke (2) and Heslin all scored points as Leitrim ran riot winning out by seven. Leitrim winning out 2-14 to 1-10.
Any Moran’s side are now fourth in division four with six points, one off second placed Tipperary with two games remaining.
