Leitrim were no real match for Fermanagh as the visitors scored a 1-19 to 2-7 Tailteann cup victory in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Fermanagh led 1-9 to 0-4 at half-time and the visitors held on for a nine-point victory in the end.
Leitrim started impressively. Two points from Oisin McLoughlin saw the hosts lead 0-2 to 0-0 inside five minutes.
Sean Quigley opened Fermanagh’s account 60 seconds later before Ryan Lyons restored parity on nine minutes.
The visitors followed up with five more points before Donal Wrynn eventually replied for Leitrim on 21 minutes.
Leitrim’s Paul Keaney added another point four minutes later but the hosts failed to score for the remainder of the half.
Contrastingly, Fermanagh registered 1-2. Ryan Lyons’ goal on 26 minutes helped Fermanagh to a two-point lead at the interval.
Keaney registered Leitrim’s first goal two minutes after the restart; Mark Plunkett added another two minutes later and suddenly it was back to a three-point game.
Leitrim’s Pearce Dolan slotted over a point on 40 minutes but Andy Moran’s side failed to score for another 19 minutes.
Fermanagh capitalised by hitting five points before Tom Prior ended the drought on 59 minutes. Leitrim were still six points down however.
Lyons gave Fermanagh a nine-point cushion three minutes from time. The sides cancelled each other out thereafter as the visitors ran out convincing winners.
With Antrim beating Wexford 2-15 to 0-14 and Leitrim's defeat to Fermanagh, Leitrim can no longer finish in the top two in group four. Leitrim must beat Wexford on the June bank holiday weekend to have any chance of progressing to the pre-lim quarter-finals.
