Leitrim are currently top of Allianz football league division four after beating London 3-12 to 1-15 at McGovern Park, Ruislip.
The sides were level one minute from time before Andy Moran’s men finished with a flourish to run out six-point winners.
Leitrim made a blistering start. Points from Evan Sweeney (two), Keith Beirne and Jack Heslin saw the visitors lead 0-4 to no score inside 11 minutes.
London subsequently landed three successive scores making it a two-point game on 27 minutes before Beirne gave Leitrim a three point lead at half-time; 0-6 to 0-3.
Beirne doubled Leitrim’s advantage 13 minutes into the second half when he found the net. Points from London's Christopher Farley and James Gallagher brought it back to a four-point game five minutes later.
Donal Wrynn registered Leitrim’s second goal on 55 minutes and three minutes later London were down to 14 men when Henry Walsh was sent off.
London responded impressively with four successive scores before Jordan Reynolds halted their momentum on 63 minutes.
Daniel Clarke’s goal saw London draw level six minutes from time. 60 seconds later, Leitrim’s Tom Prior found the net helping the visitors to a five-point win in the end.
