Leitrim’s Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-final against Wicklow has been set for Saturday at 7pm in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
Leitrim have nominated Glennon Brothers Pearse Park as their home venue as the pitch has been relayed at Avantmoney Piarc Sean MacDiaramda.
This will be Leitrim’s fourth game at Pearse Park this season. Leitrim played Longford once in the Allianz league and once in the Tailteann cup at the venue. Whereas, the game with Kildare was deemed a neutral venue.
Wicklow progressed to the preliminary quarter-final finishing third in group three, beating Carlow in the final round. Oisin McConville’s men lost out to both Laois and Fermanagh in the group stage.
While Wicklow made a swift return to Allianz league division four, finishing seventh in division three this year.
The other Tailteann cup preliminary quarter-final games see’s Limerick host Tipperary, in Rathkeale, at four o’clock on Saturday.
On Sunday (June 9th) Laois host New York in Laois Hire O'Moore Park, Portlaoise at 12.30. At two o’clock, Antrim host London in Corrigan Park.
Elsewhere, Roscommon and Longford’s minor all-Ireland football quarter-final games have been set.
Leinster champions Longford will face Ulster runners-up Armagh in Kingspan Breffni this Saturday (June 8) at 3pm. Whereas, Roscommon meet Munster champions Kerry in Cusack Park at 6:30.
