Roscommon's Tomás Crean, Monaghan's Sean Jones and the Longford pair of Keelin McGann and PJ Masterson helped DCU to 2-12 to 9 points win over MTU Cork in the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup quarter final last night. Offaly's Jack Bryant and Dublin's Lorcan O'Dell with the goals for Paddy Christie's side. They were joined in the semi-final draw by University of Limerick who overcame defending champions University of Galway 1-15 to 2-10 after extra time in Dangan. Roscommon goalkeeper Conor Carroll started for the hosts while Michael Glaveys Daragh Heneghan came off the bench along with Saint Brigid's Paul Mc Grath. St Faithleachs Cian Glennon saw some game time for UL off the bench in extra-time. It's a reversal of the result when those two met in the Final last year. The game can be watched back in full on the Electric Ireland YouTube channel and website and afterwards UL manager Declan Brouder told us what he made of his team's display.
In tonight's quarter finals St Mary's take on UCC at the GAA Centre of Excellence in Abbotstown while TU Dublin host UCD in Grangegorman. Both games throw in at seven. The meeting of St Mary's and UCC is live on the Electric Ireland YouTube channel and website.
