Paddy Christie got his Longford managerial reign off to a flying start with a 3-18 to 13 point win over Laois.
Longford were excellent in the first-half finding the net on three occasions. Dessie Reynolds opening the Christie era with a second minute goal.
Dylan Farrell found the net on 15 minutes with Daniel Mimnagh adding Longford's third goal a minute before the break. Longford led 3-10 to 0-3 at half-time.
While Laois sent over 10 second-half points, Longford responded with points from David McGivney (2), Farrell, Reynolds, Jack Macken, Jayson Matthews and Robbie Smyth (2).
Longford won out 3-18 to 13 points.
