As reported last week, Longford GAA have announced the purchase of 32 acres of land beside Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, that will be used to accomodate a centre of Excellence.
It is a project that will serve both the male and female players throughout the county.
Speaking on Sportsbeat on Monday evening, county chairman Albert Cooney noted; while the integration of the GAA and the LGFA was still be worked on at a national level. Longford as a county had embraced it.
