Slow starting Longford claim London victory

Longford came out of Ruislip with a victory, however it was a hard fought win.

Mike Solan made changes to the team that beat Waterford last week; but it was the hosts who raced into a six point lead inside the opening 15 minutes of the game.

Aaron Farrell got Longford’s first of the day but it was Oran Kenny’s 26th minute two-pointer that got Longford going.

Kenny got his fourth of the day before Dessie Reynolds brought the sides level at the half time interval.

Oran Kenny kept his scoring form going after the break. Adding two more points to his tally before Matthew Carey placed two two-pointer scores. Longford moving into a six point lead on 55 minutes.

London managed to get the game back to five before Christian Healy found the back of the Longford net five minutes from time.
