Longford missed out on a game with Westmeath last weekend, meaning the jury is still very much out on Billy O’Loughlin.
Fermanagh also had a rest week last weekend as their meeting with Laois drew the wrath of storm Franklin.
This is a must win for both sides. It’s as close to a local derby as you can call and Fermanagh usually have the hex on Longford.
The early stages will be the telling factor in this one with Longford needing their backs to be at their very best.
Keelin McGann is the up and coming star, O’Loughlin needs him and the other youngsters to grow up quickly.
