Longford sealed a one point victory over Leitrim in Allianz hurling league division 3B at Glennon brothers Pearse Park.
Joe O’Brien top scored for Longford as they ran in a 1-15 to 1-14 victory and booked their place in the divisional semi-finals.
Longford had the better of the first-half and led 1-8 to nine points at the break. Longford’s goal coming from Cathal Mullane in first-half injury time.
Leitrim fought back in the second-half, Diarmuid Kelleher’s goal 11 minutes into the second-half made it a one point game.
Joe Murray leveled the game at 1-13 a piece with seven minutes remaining. The sides exchanged points to leve the game with five minutes remaining.
Reuben Murray sent over a last gasp point as Longford won out 1-15 to 1-14.
