Longford and Tyrone drew 2-22 apiece in Division 3 of the national hurling league at Glennon Brother Pearse Park today.
A high scoring shoot-out looked ominous early on with Tyrone leading 2-11 to 1-13 at the break as Cathal Mullane found the net for Longford in the tenth minute.
Eight minutes after the restart a point from Joe O’Brien gave Longford a five point buffer but Tyrone fought back to draw level just before the hour mark.
Victory looked to be on the cards for the Midlanders when a Cathal Mullane goal gave them a three-point cushion with two minutes of normal time left but Tyrone responded in style to level the match.
