In division 3A of the Allianz National Hurling league, Longford are away to Sligo on Saturday (29th) at 3pm. Having suffered an opening day loss to Armagh, the midland side, registered a draw against Tyrone last weekend in a highly entertaining encounter, where it finished 2-22 apiece.
Manager Derek Frehill, noted the increase in numbers with the panel and that they would be hoping to be moving in the right direction with their quality of play
Also in that group Monaghan who had a bye last weekend are away to Armagh looking their first points having suffered a defeat to Tyrone in Round 1.
