The Longford hurlers reverted back to winning ways with a 2-22 to 3-9 victory at home to Leitrim in the Lory Meagher cup.
Cian Darcy found the net as early as the second minute. The Longford forward finished the half with 1-3 as the hosts led 1-11 to 0-6 at half-time.
Leitrim improved marginally after the restart. Goals from Stephen Goldrick and James McNabola saw Leitrim make it a seven-point game ten minutes from time; 1-19 to 2-9.
Longford’s Joe Rabbitt found the net two minutes from time. 60 seconds later McNabola replied with one for the visitors as they fell to a heavy defeat.
