Longford claimed their third victory of the Lory Meagher cup campaign after beating Cavan 0-25 to 1-19 at Kingspan Breffni.
Longford led 0-8 to 0-3 inside 21 minutes, 60 seconds later Cillian Sheanon’s goal made it a two-point game.
Cian Darcy restored Longford’s four-point cushion on 27 minutes and the visitors held on to lead by the same margin at the break; 0-12 to 1-5.
Cavan’s Nicholas Kenny levelled the game nine minutes from time. However, Longford replied with six of the next nine scores and claimed a narrow victory.
Meanwhile, the Leitrim hurlers scored a convincing win over Warwickshire. Olcan Conway's men claimed a 2-25 to 0-16 victory.
