Senior men and Ladies teams
The senior men had no action over the weekend, but our ladies senior team travelled the short distance to Athlone.
Where they took on Athlone in the Bower in the Midlands League. Unfortunately a very depleted team were well beaten by the hosts.
Under 18 Boys & Girls
Our Boys’ game in the LLR was cancelled but our Under-18 Girls travelled to take on Tullamore. Although the match was close at the end of the third-quarter, Tullamore pulled away to earn victory in this Midlands League match.
Under 16 Boys & Girls
Our under-16 Girls had a double success against Ballyroan winning both their Midlands League and Midlands Cup clashes.
The Midlands Cup win was a five-point semi-final victory. However, in Saturday’s Midland’s cup final in Tullamore, the girls were beaten by a very strong Portlaoise team by 20 points.
It was a mixed weekend for our boys U16 teams in the LLR League. Our Grey team losing narrowly by three points.
Going down by 44 points to 41 against Ballinamore Amber, but in the second contest between the two clubs, our Green team beat Ballinamore Black by a comprehensive margin.
Under 12 Girls
Our U12 wings team put up a great performance against Ballinamore in the LLR League but the stronger Leitrim team came out on top.
