Everyone at Longford Phoenix would like to congratulate former player Michelle Mulvey on winning the MVP Award at last weekend's Kilkenny masters tournament.

Under-18 Boys Midlands League
Congratulations to our under-18 Boys team who are guaranteed a top two finish in the Midlands League, after a resounding 49 points to 32 victory away to the North Kildare Eagles in Maynooth. Phoenix can now look forward to the top four play-offs in April.
The team and their scores were: Kacper Baran (13 points), Oscar Gorman (2 points), Patrick Clancy, David Maher (9 points), Oran Killian, Dara Keaveney (11 points), Domas Vilys (10 points), Dillon Swaris (4 points), Cian Shanley.
Under-16 boys
It was a day of mixed feelings for Phoenix Whites in Division 1 of the LLR League. They hauled back an early 10 point deficit to level the game against Castlerea by the end of the third quarter.
However, a number of missed opportunities saw Castlerea emerge victorious on a very low final scoreline of 31-29. This narrow defeat means that our Whites can only win the LLR league if Carrick beat Castlerea next Thursday in the final game of the competition.
The good news is that Phoenix White are guaranteed entry to the All-Ireland Club Championships at the end of April as both 1st and 2nd in the league qualify this year. The winner on Thursday will confirm the line-up.
Under-14 girls
There were mixed results for our under-14 girl's teams in their LLR games against Boyle. The Wings edged home by a single point, 24-23. Unfortunately, the Flames suffered a 28-19 defeat against their Boyle counterparts.
Under-10 boys
Congratulations to our Under-10 boys team who competed in a blitz in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday and played superbly to win all of their three matches. It is another example of the great talent within the club under the guidance of top quality.
