It ended points shared in this bottom of the table clash at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park after a Longford fight back writes Aaron Kelly.
Longford lead by nine points to five at the break after a huge flurry of scores at the end of the first-half with Joseph Hagan leading the scoring.
However the game was far from done as Tipperary flew out of the blocks at the beginning of the second-half. Jack Kennedy well amongst the scores and it really did look like Tipp were in the clear as they lead by 1-11 to 0-09.
It took Longford until the 32nd minute of the half to get their first score of the second-half. That was the catalyst for a great comeback with substitutes Rian Brady, Dylan Farrell and Oran Kenny leading the comeback.
Both sides have to settle for a point, a result that doesn't feel like enough for either side at this point as they bid for survival.
Final score: Longford 0-14 Tipperary 1-11.
