Dublin set up an O’Byrne cup final meeting with Longford following a comfortable 5-17 to 1-11 victory over Wexford at Parnell Park.
Sean Lowry scored a hat-trick for Dessie Farrell’s side who dominated the contest throughout.
Lowry and Breathnach registered a goal each inside the opening 30 minutes as Dublin led 2-6 to 0-6.
Two minutes later, Cathal Walsh replied with a goal for Wexford making it a three-point game.
The Dubs restored their six-point cushion by the interval. Lowry’s second goal on the stroke of half-time saw the hosts lead 3-6 to 1-6.
Wexford’s Ben Brosnan slotted over two frees after the restart but the visitors failed to score for another 20 minutes.
Dublin capitalised by hitting 1-8 in succession. Niall Scully registered Dublin’s third goal on 53 minutes.
Brosnan eventually ended the drought on the hour mark, however Wexford still trailed by 15 points.
Lowry completed the hat-trick eight minutes from time as Dublin cruised to an 18-point victory.
Dessie Farrell’s men will face Longford in the O’Byrne cup final on Saturday 20th January. Longford having overcome Meath on Friday night.
