Longford Slashers will face Killoe Emmet Og in the 2020 Longford senior football final after Slashers battled past Mullinalaghta.
Slashers scored a two point victory over the 2018 Leinster champions 1-9 to 1-7 to make the delayed county final.
Jason Matthews found the Slashers net in the first minute as the North Longford side led 1-4 to five points at half-time.
The second-half failed to ignite until the final moments as Slashers pressed trailing by a point.
Six minutes from time Gerard Flynn found the Mullinalaghta net to make it 1-8 to 1-6. Jason Matthews made it a one point game with three minutes left.
Mullinalaghta couldn’t fashion an equaliser and Sean Clarke restored Slashers two point lead and saw them into the final.
Slashers will meet defending champions Killoe Emmet Og in the delayed county final on Sunday August 29th at 3pm.
