A strong Longford spine helped Dublin City University beat Queen’s University Belfast in the Higher Education All-Ireland Junior Football Final on Thursday night.
Dromard’s Ollie Duffy (goalkeeper), Sean Connolly’s Sean O’Sullivan and Carrickedmond’s Eoghan McCormack helped DCU to the 2-8 to 2-6 win.
The team was managed by Longford Slashers Eoin McGuinness. The DCU panel also included Dromard’s Fionn Hourican who missed the final through injury.
