Stephen Henderson has added James Doona and Derek Daly to the Longford Town panel for the 2023 season.
24-year-old Doona made 27 appearances for Shamrock Rovers scoring six times, 39 appearances for St. Pats scoring four times. 25 appearances for Athlone Town scoring six goals before making 14 appearances last season for Cork City on the way to their league title win.
Doona made 2 appearances for the Republic of Ireland Under 18’s in 2015.
25-year-old Daly had spells at Chesterfield, Sheffield, Frickley United, Waterford FC, Bray Wanderers, Athlone Town, and most recently Crumlin United.
Daly made 40 appearances for Waterford, scoring six times, 45 appearances for Bray Wanderers, scoring six goals and 26 appearances for Athlone, scoring twice.
The winger transfers from Crumlin United and will look to make an immediate impact in Stephen Henderson’s side when the league resumes on February 18th.
Longford begin their season with a home match against Athlone Town.
