Longford Town fell to a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Bray Wanderers in Bishopsgate.
Town got off to a good start with Sam Verdon finding the net on nine minutes. Gary Cronin’s side were expected to profit against his old team.
However Bray struck back Kurtis Byrne equalising for the visitors on 21 minutes. Paul Fox gave Bray the lead six minutes before the break.
Town came close twice in the second-half to equalising both attempts coming through Sam Verdon.
Verdon’s best effort coming on 61 minutes and producing a shut-out save from Bray keeper Stephen McGuinness.
It was Bray’s night as they recorded their first win of the campaign.
