Longford town fell to a second consecutive defeat as Cobh Ramblers scored a 1-0 in St Colman’s Park.
Wilson Waweru’s goal five minutes into the second-half was enough to give Stephen Henderson’s old side all three points.
Longford had the better of the first-half chances. Former town stopper Lee Stacey keeping out a couple of half chances.
Ramblers opened the scoring five minutes after the restart. Wilson Waweru powerfully heading home Charlie O’Brien’s cross.
Waweru came close to doubling the advantage nine minutes later, this time Waweru’s header came back off the post.
Longford finished the game with 10 men, Darragh Lynch seeing red with six minutes to play. Lynch had only been on the field four minutes.
