Longford Town travel to Derry City as they aim to make it back-to-back wins in the SSE Airtricity premier division.
Town finally got their second win over the season beating Dundalk two weeks ago. Last week ended up being a rest week as Town were out of the cup.
“We were disappointed we had to wait two weeks after the victory over Dundalk” explained town boss Daire Doyle.
“We go into the game in a positive mind-set because we can get a result in this” added Doyle.
“If you look at Derry’s last 20 games, there up there with anyone in the league. Their game with Finn Harps was a real advert for the league and the game”.
“Their form has seen them push for Europe” explained Doyle. We want to go up to the Brandywell and disrupt that!”
Dean Byrne (ankle) and Aaron McNally (ankle) are doubtful for tomorrow’s trip away to Derry City. Rob Manley and Aaron Robinson miss out through suspension.
“We’re never going to say never” declared Doyle adamant Town are still fighting for the premier divisions lives!
“Every player and everybody at the club is committed to give it everything and try and keep this club in the top flight”.
