Longford Town got their first win over the season with a 3-0 victory over Wexford in Ferrycarrig Park.
Town had it very much their own way bouncing back from Monday night’s defeat to Bray to lead 2-0 inside 22 minutes.
Just two minutes where on the clock when Dylan Barnett opened the scoring. A town corner was worked back to Barnett on the edge of the box who found the bottom corner of the net.
Dylan Graydon made it 2-0 with a beauty of a chip on 22 minutes. Graydon’s orginal cross rebounded off a Wexford defender.
The midfield coolie chipped Paul Hunt in the Wexford goal to make it 2-0.
Graydon and Elworthy came close to making it 3-0, but it was town who led 2-0 at half-time.
Town came close to making it three in the second half with Graydon and Darren Craven both shooting just wide.
Eight minutes from time the third goal arrived. Aaron Robinson finding the net to make it three and Town’s first win of the season.
