Longford Town recorded their first win in three games with a 4-2 victory over Cobh Ramblers in St Colman’s Park.
The game didn’t go all Town’s way and Daire Doyle’s side found themselves behind after nine minutes as Pierce Phillps made it 1-0.
Town were back on level terms within 10 minutes. Joe Power was taken down inside the Cobh box. Dylan Barnett buries the resulting penalty.
Town took the lead seven minutes after the restart. Power made a break down the right crossing for Cristian Magerusan to head home at the back post.
Robinson made it 3-1 to town on the hour mark and Magerusan who turned provider. Magerusan back heels found Robinson who slotted the ball into the corner.
Cobh got back into the game two minutes later. Jake Hegarty’s cross deceived replacement keeper Lee Stacey and found the net.
However Shane Elworthy restored Town’s two goal lead four minutes later as he pounced on a mistake to make it 4-2 and secure the points for town.
