Former Town striker Enda Curran came back to haunt his former club.

Enda Curran scored a hat-trick against his former club as Longford Town suffered a 4-1 defeat to ten-man Treaty United at Bishopsgate.

The visitors dominated the game from the outset and fully deserved the victory. Town have now suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions.

The game’s first meaningful chance fell to the visitors six minutes in. Lee J Lynch played in Enda Curran, but the latter couldn’t direct his effort on target.

Curran gave Treaty lead 12 minutes later. The former Town striker rifled a powerful first-time shot to the net from 20 yards out.

Treaty were awarded a penalty on 22 minutes when Kyle O’Connor fouled Curran inside the box. The Treaty striker converted the spot kick making it 2-0.

Town could’ve scored three minutes later. Mohammed Boudiaf outmanoeuvred Le Devitt and Steven Healy before shooting wide from 25 yards out.

Longford pulled one back on the half hour mark as Jordan Adayemo bagged his seventh goal of the season.

Treaty United keep pushing

Treaty goalkeeper Corey Chambers parried Adayemo’s initial effort but the Town striker fired home the rebound from six yards out.

The visitors threated again 15 minutes later. Ben O’Riordan connected with Lee J Lynch’s corner but couldn’t direct his glancing header on target.

Curran completed his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time. He collected Fionn Doherty’s long ball and fired home a first-time shot on the half-volley.

Treaty scored again 11 minutes into the second half. Lee Devitt connected with Doherty’s left-wing cross and found the net with a cushioned header.

Town had a rare opportunity just before the hour mark. Bastien Hery saw his 20-yard effort repelled by Chambers. Town spurned another opportunity on 73 minutes. Daniel Norris connected with Francis Campbell’s right-wing cross but couldn’t direct his header on target.

Treaty almost scored again four minutes later. Substitute David Tarmey controlled Christopher’s cross with his chest but couldn’t direct his subsequent effort on target.

Treaty were reduced to ten men two minutes from time. Doherty fouled Francis Campbell 20 yards out and received a second yellow card.

Former Treaty player Dean O’Shea took the resultant free-kick, his effort easily saved by Town goalkeeper Harry Halwax.

Town almost scored two minutes into injury time. O’Shea saw his effort tipped over the crossbar by Chambers as Town suffered a heavy defeat.
