Longford Town travel to Treaty United on Friday night, the first of a bank holiday weekend double for town.
Town travel to Bray on bank holiday Monday, ahead of that they face a Treaty side two points ahead of them in the league.
It’s been a disappointing season for Longford, but the nature of the First Division, they are just five points off the play-off spots.
A creditable 2-2 draw with Waterford was followed by a 2-1 home victory over Kerry. A brave performance wasn’t enough as St. Patrick’s athletic advanced in the FAI cup.
However, an extremely disappointing defeat to Cobh at home last week halted momentum yet again.
Treaty are just two points ahead of Town in the league table. Treaty boss Tommy Barrett added three new players to his panel ahead of Friday night’s visit of Longford Town.
Defender Dean O’Shea and midfielder Adam Lennon have joined Barrett’s squad. Goalkeeper Corey Chambers provides experience following the departure of Shane Hallahan due to work commitments.
While, Willie Armshaw, Jordon Tallon and Marc Ludden are all currently struggling with injuries. Enda Curran is also a doubt due to illness.
Meanwhile, Darren Nwankwo returns following a one-game ban.
Longford boss Stephen Henderson welcomes back Bastien Hery, Dylan Hand and goalkeeper Jack Brady from suspension.
Past Meetings
The sides have met twice already this season, with Treaty registering two victories. Treaty scored a 3-2 win in market’s field earlier this season.
Whereas, the last encounter between the sides at Bishopsgate was a feisty affair with two sending’s off.
Jack Brady was dismissed for a clash with Enda Curran after the striker converted a penalty. Ben O’Riordan was also sent-off just seconds before the final whistle.
