Longford Town's assistant manager Gavin Peers has resigned from his role, the club have confirmed.
The news emerges soon after the club parted ways with head coach Stephen Henderson. Peers was placed in charge of the side on an interim basis along with Wayne Groves last night.
Longford Town issued a statement on X saying; "the club can confirm that Gavin Peers has resigned from his role with the club.
"We’d like to thank Gavin for his efforts during his time with the red and black and wish him all the best for the future."
The entire complexion of Town's management team remains unclear at this time. The Midlanders will attempt to end their winless streak away to Wexford in two day's time.
