Laois led 2-3 to 0-0 inside 15 minutes; Jamie Brady Hynes opened Longford’s account with a goal on 20 minutes.
Caolan Lynch, Michael Flynn (two each), Ronan Courtney and Michael Hynes added points as Longford trailed 2-5 to 1-6 at half-time.
