Longford U20's get their Leinster championship campaign underway this evening (Wednesday) at 7:30pm when they face Wexford in Parnell Park. The Midlands county recently contested the Philly Mc Guinness memorial tournament where they registered 2 wins in their 3 outings over Leitrim and Fermanagh with their loss coming at the hands of Sligo. Wexford were also in tournament action in preparation for their championship outing as they reached the final of the Andrew Corden cup where they lost to Carlow. Both sides reached the quarter finals of the competition in 2021 with Longford going out to Westmeath on penalties while Wexford went down by a point to the eventual provincial and All Ireland winners Offaly.
