Eileen Gleeson has name a 24 player squad for Ireland’s EURO 2025 Qualifying Play-Off with Wales.
Ireland are aiming to qualify for the UEFA Women’s European Championships for the first time. Wales stand in the way in a two legged play-off.
However, Gleeson has been dealt a big blow with 120 time capped Louise Quinn missing out with a hip injury.
Also missing are, Ellen Molloy (hamstring), Lucy Quinn (ankle), Jamie Finn (knee) and Jess Ziu (knee). However, Megan Campbell and Ruesha Littlejohn both return after missing the games with Georgia.
Heather Payne is included as is Leanne Kiernan.
Ireland travel to the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, November 29th for the first leg. The Second leg takes place in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3rd.
Indeed, this will be the 22nd and 23rd meeting between Ireland and Wales. The last time the sides met, Wales scored a two-nil victory in a friendly at Tallaght Stadium in February.
